Amazon To Host Prime Big Deals Day Sales Event On October 7 and 8

Amazon is carrying on its yearly custom of holding Prime Big Deals Day, the second Prime event of the year, in October. The firm stated that the event will take place on October 7-8, with sales beginning at 12:01 AM PT on October 7, in keeping with the trend set in previous years.

Amazon is placing a wager that consumers would use a variety of artificial intelligence (AI) tools during the event, including its shopping assistant Rufus and visual search tools like Lens Live and Amazon Lens, which let users aim their cameras at any nearby object and locate it on the Amazon website. Additionally, Amazon’s new Alexa+ conversational assistant will allow consumers to track offers.

Starting on October 7, customers in countries other than the United States, including Australia, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, the Netherlands, Poland, Singapore, Spain, Sweden, and the United Kingdom, as well as, for the first time, Colombia, Ireland, and Mexico, will be able to shop and take part in deals through the Big Deals Day event.

According to Adobe Analytics, Amazon’s first Prime Day event of 2025, which took place in July, was a success. Over the course of four days, the retail industry as a whole generated $24.1 billion in online sales, a 30.3% increase from the previous year. According to the report, mobile devices accounted for over half of these sales for the first time.
