This week, YouTube debuted a plethora of new tools, features, and improvements targeted at creators at its annual Made on YouTube event. These included new ways to monetize YouTube Live and more.
Updates to the studio include lip-synced dubs and “likeness” identification, and the business is providing podcasters with new AI tools to help market their broadcasts.
This is all of the Made announcements on YouTube.
In order to help creators manage their channels and monitor data, the firm showcased new and updated tools to Studio. Features like auto dubbing, title A/B testing, and an inspiration tab are among the updates.
The “likeness”-detection tool, which was revealed last year and made accessible to select authors, is what drew our interest. It is currently in open beta. By using their face likeness, users will be able to identify, control, and flag any unauthorized videos for removal.
Creators will be able to work with up to five other individuals on a single film, which will be accessible to the viewers of all collaborating video makers. Additionally, an AI-powered Ask Studio will be able to assist users and respond to inquiries regarding their accounts.
Additionally, YouTube updated its livestreaming platform, Live, allowing creators to entertain viewers with minigames, concurrently broadcasting in both horizontal and vertical forms, offering AI-powered highlights, responding to live events, utilizing a new ad structure, and more.
A new ad type called “side-by-side” plays next to the main content, resembling a split-screen display, instead of cutting into the stream. AI-powered highlights automatically choose the best moments from a livestream and turn them into shareable Shorts.
New Tools For Shorts
Along with a new remixing tool, a “Edit with AI” feature, and more, YouTube is introducing a customized version of Veo 3, Google’s text-to-video generative AI model, to Shorts.
With Veo 3 Fast, as the custom version is called, creators can apply motion from a video to an image, add different styles to their videos, and insert objects into the video with a simple text prompt. Creators can also transform the dialogue from eligible videos into catchy soundtracks for other Shorts using Google’s AI music model, Lyria 2.
YouTube Music
Additionally, YouTube Music received several modifications aimed at strengthening the bond between creators and their followers.
In addition to offering fans “thank you” videos and a countdown timer for future albums, the firm is implementing a trial program for U.S. listeners that will get them access to artists’ exclusive goods drops.
AI For Podcasters
YouTube claims that AI suggestions would make it easier for U.S. video podcast creators to produce clips. Additionally, a new technology that will be available next year will allow audio podcasts to be converted to video podcasts.
New Monetization Features
With corporate partnerships and the YouTube Shopping program, which allows creators to get paid for tagging and promoting things in their videos, YouTube is providing creators with new avenues for revenue generation. Additionally, YouTube will now let artists to replace brand sponsorships in lengthy films.
Creators can also take advantage of auto timestamps for product tags, auto tagging for eligible items mentioned in videos, and a new brand link feature for Shorts. An AI-powered system will help identify the optimal moment a product is mentioned and automatically display the product tag at that time.
Soon, YouTube will proactively recommend creators who would be a good fit for companies in its creator partnerships hub, and shorts producers will be able to include a link to a company’s website expressly for brand collaborations.
